TOURISM ENTERPRISE PARTNERSHIP STEPS UP DELIVERY
<< Back to News
Following a rigorous six-month public tender process, the Tourism Enterprise Partnership (TEP) is pleased to announce the appointment of a new team of provincial service providers to implement the programme at provincial level. The team will officially start from 1 July 2009.

Siva Pillay, Chief Executive of TEP says, “In all organisations, a review of service providers is an important component of ensuring that you are getting the best talent for the best rate. At TEP we have systematically worked through all aspects of our business to ensure we are providing the best possible service since April 2008, when the not for profit organisation was formed. We have appointed excellent service providers in areas of training, product development and marketing, and in changing our positioning to read ‘Step up to your Potential’ – we refer not only to small and medium tourism enterprises, but also to ourselves and our service providers.”

The service providers will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of TEP in the various provinces on behalf of Head Office in Johannesburg.  The talent, tasked with injecting fresh ideas and enthusiasm into the business, is made up of the following providers:

1.       Eastern Cape and North West - Emazweni, Akhona Maqwazima

2.       Western Cape - SAB&T, Jonathan Jacobs

3.       Gauteng - Simakade, Mahandra Naidoo

4.       Mpumalanga - Silulu Investment Services, Meshack Nkosi

5.       KwaZulu-Natal - Sigma International, Akash Singh

6.      Northern Cape & Free State - Anix Consulting, Rhiyaan Cupido

7.      Limpopo – ProServ South Africa, Patrick Hijlkema

Pillay adds, “We are looking forward to accelerated delivery and support with our new team of service providers in the coming year, and would like to take this opportunity to thank our previous service providers for their support and professionalism during the period they were responsible for implementing TEP.”

The official hand over period is already underway and will be concluded by the end of June. Clients and interested parties are welcome to check the TEP website on the 1st of July 2009 for contact details of new regional offices.

The TEP offices of Gauteng, North West and Limpopo will be managed from Head Office in the interim period and only Business Development Fund (BDF) applications that have already been handed in will be processed. New applications will be accepted as of 01 July 2009.  TEP acknowledges that this process might be inconvenient but, in order to advance customer service and quality focus, the organisation trusts that clients will be exercise some patience during this transition period.

The TEP Head Office has also found a new home and relocated to new offices from the 11th of May 2009. The new address is:

3rd Floor Travel House

6 Hood Avenue

Rosebank
