In line with the announcement by the Minister of Health, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi, on 13 August 2009 regarding enhanced communication on the H1N1 Influenza, the Department has announced a dedicated HOTLINE number for members of the public. The HOTLINE number is 0861 DOH CDC or 0861 364-232.

The HOTLINE provides an opportunity for the public to ask specific questions and request for more information on the H1N1 Influenza. The line is operated by trained personnel on communicable diseases who in turn are supported by second line staff made up of experts from the Department.

Meanwhile, the Department’s dedicated email address is also operational for members of the public to ask questions and request information on the H1N1 Influenza. The email address is H1N1@health.gov.za. 

The public is invited to take advantage of these communication platforms to aimed at dealing with the pandemic.
